My Sony EBook Reader

My Sony EBook Reader 🙂

I just love my Sony EBook reader….it’s a really cool gadget that can store thousands of books, it’s like taking an entire library wherever you go.

I’ve currently got about 300 books on mine…mostly consisting of Sci-fi, thrillers and suspense novels with a few true stories thrown in.

I’ve just downloaded a really cool collection of short stories by legendary Sci-Fi writer Philip K. Dick, the mind behind movies like: Bladerunner (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep) Total Recall (We Can Remember It for You Wholesale) Minority Report, Paycheck, Next (The Golden Man) A Scanner Darkly, Screamers (Second Variety)……and the list goes on. In fact since his death in 1982 his work and writings have permutated all aspects of popular culture.

The Philip K Dick Reader

The Philip K Dick Reader

The Philip K Dick Reader is a collection of 24 short stories, originally published in 1997 it’s a great introduction to those not familiar with his works…..great stuff in here from his early writings ‘pulp B movie sci-fi’ stuff (The Hanging Man, Fair Game) to his more sophisticated modern movie fodder: The Golden Man, Paycheck, Second Varity and Minority Report…all now major movies! I love this collection, its great late night reading if you’ve got an hour to spare or can’t sleep or you’ve got little time to read long novels.

You can read reviews on the Philip K Dick Reader here! And buy the book here!

Have fun!
