UrbanCanvas news #2

Leicester Sparks Childrens arts festival 2009, originally uploaded by urbancanvas08.

Every year in street art is different………. 2010 is turning into an interesting one with lots of new projects and challenges.
Firstly we are looking for a team of 8 artists to join us for FUSION….the national centenary of the Girl guides movement to be held in Leeds…..with over 30,000 girl guides it’s going to prove to be as big an event for us as was The Bahrain Grand Prix.

We are looking for painting artists with experience of working at big events. If you’re interested then please email me directly at urbancanvas@blueyonder.co.uk If we haven’t worked with you before then please enclose your CV and photos of your work!

2010 will also see us working at a major event in Canary Wharf, London but I’ll tell you about that in a future news blog. Also for the first time we’ll be taking part in The International Salisbury Arts Festival with works inspired from the ancient chalk landscape drawings of Wiltshire. We’ll be at the Cambridge Folk Festival for the third year in a row with a specially commissioned piece inspired by music and movement.

Just some of the many exciting projects planned for this year…..roll on summer…..tis been a long cold winter methinks 🙂
