Spiderman over London

I came across this press cutting from the Daily Star newspaper, 2005, featuring the work of 3D, anamorphic pavement artist Julian Beever. What made me laugh was the total lack of understanding on behalf of the photographer, ‘bimbo’ and editor with regards to how 3D pavement art works…..here you can see the girl attempting to balance on Spiderman’s knee, which in the finished art is unnatural?

Totally bazaar, but it is the Daily Star!

I’ll be blogging more about the advent of 3D pavement art and sharing some of its secrets in the future, because I know it to be of great interest to all you ‘cool catz’

In the meantime, here’s how Julian Beevers finished work “Spiderman over London” should appear. This was done in 2005 in London for the launch of a Spiderman computer game.
